“As a graduate school student returning to school after 20 years, Dr.  Harper not only helped me regain my confidence, but coached me to become a much better academic writer.  As a former university professor, Dr.  Harper knows exactly how to coach students to write the best papers possible.  With her help I was just accepted at a prestigious Ivy League graduate program.  Dr. Harper has been an invaluable asset in my graduate school career.  On top of it, she is a lovely, brilliant, woman.  Dr. Harper is the best teammate any grad school student could ask for!”

“Without Janice’s coaching I would never have started writing my first book, let alone finished it! Janice helped me develop my authentic voice as a writer and taught me the essentials of memoir writing. She was patient while I learned how to accept and incorporate feedback, spent the time to understand my goals, and instinctively knew when I needed a pep talk, or a metaphorical kick in the butt to get me back on track. Janice helped me achieve my lifelong dream of becoming an author.”

“Special thanks goes to Janice Harper, a writing coach extraordinaire whom I had the fortuitous occasion to meet at a memoir writing workshop. After learning of her work as an anthropologist and casually mentioning Silver Screen Buddha to her, she generously offered her time and expertise to help me contain my panic and redirect it towards the completion of this book. Janice proved invaluable for helping me embrace a more clear and simple way of writing.”

“I just read over the [academic paper you edited] and it is absolutely wonderful. You have already done so much so I think I can fill in the blanks. Thank you so much you have been such a tremendous help.”
